Trish Lloyd

For the past 8 years of my 22 years in the Travel Industry I have been the manager/director of Discovery Travel. My experience prior to this has included working for airlines, travel wholesalers and in the corporate travel sector.

I pride myself in the high level of expertise I have gained in this industry and the passion I have for travel. This is reflected in the excellent team we have at Discovery Travel. Their knowledge, experience and the high level of service we provide make me extremely proud.

I have long been afflicted with the “travel bug” and have travelled to some of the most amazing destinations in the world. I am privileged to have travelled to Tahiti, which is every bit as beautiful as you imagine, Europe, extensively in South East Asia, North and South America, Antarctica as well as cruising to almost all the seven seas. I specialise in cruising, travel to South America and Asia and Group Travel.

I will never tire of travel and exploring the world.

Sue Lacey

I joined Discovery Travel in 1997 after 11 years previous experience in the travel industry.

I enjoy the challenge and variety of putting holidays together as every trip is unique and every destination is different. I have travelled in Australia and to Europe, Asia, North & South America, and the South Pacific. I have instilled my love of travel and experiencing different cultures in my family and we have been fortunate to have enjoyed many wonderful holidays together.

Recent travel highlights have included the beautiful Greek Islands and a wonderful visit to China to see the Great Wall and the amazing Terracotta Warriors.

Attention to detail and a high level of service are my priorities.

Kady Colman

After 4 years in the industry I was thrilled to join Discovery Travel in May 2010. I love the new and exciting challenges the travel industry brings. I have been fortunate to meet amazing people whilst working together to create different and exciting itineraries.

My travel experience has included living in Canada for 2 years exploring the most amazing countryside and getting to know the people and culture far more intimately than a short visit allows. I’ve enjoyed the thrill of skiing in New Zealand, the fascinating culture of Bali and a spectacular Yangtze River cruise.

My love of travel grows everyday with the new and exciting destinations I get to experience at Discovery Travel Centre, I look forward to passing on my travel experiences and learning more everyday.

Karen Smith

Joining Discovery Travel in 2007 marked my return to the industry after taking time to raise a young family.  Prior to this I spent 10 years working for for David Jones Traveland in the City which gave me a fabulous grounding in all areas of travel from budget adventures to luxurious, indulgent and romantic getaways.   

My passion for destinations; either rich in history or exotic, coupled with my extensive travel background provides the ideal combination to deliver the best for my clients.  I strive to provide a high level of service with a friendly smile. 

Whether it be a European Riverboat Cruise, soaking up the sun in Phuket or visiting the awesome ice-filled bays of Antarctica I can help you realise your perfect holiday experience.

Anna Glowaka

I have joined Discovery Travel after a twenty-five-year journey in the wide world of high profile corporate and retail travel offices.

My travel adventures have taken me to almost all corners of the world from the Americas to the Far East’s’ fascinating and discreet spots. In the developed urbanized world, NYC has captured my mind and energy whereas the Middle East has trapped my soul. I am driven by personal exploration of galleries and specific landmarks in unusual destinations. I have been fascinated by Lebanon’s well-preserved Roman and Ottoman architecture in the remote northern towns, in addition to the East-meet-West notion maintained bizarrely by the locals. I have toured Borneo’s small galleries run by local Aborigines. Here you come across such artistic flair and interest in the surprisingly mixed environment of wilderness and modernity.

Now that the Discovery Travel focus is on world cruising, I find myself enlisted in a new dimension of travel exploration with unique customer needs and expectations that are perfectly matched to my personal and professional attributes.

I am proud of being part of highly dedicated and passionate team at Discovery travel in our quest to serve our clients.

Shane Caffyn

Some sixteen years ago, Shane joined the team at a leading Sydney corporate agency and GSA for Seabourn Cruises. Since then he has worked in both retail and corporate travel but cruising has always been his number one passion. In 2000 he was invited to co start the first online cruise agency in the country as General Manger. Shane is a Master Cruise consultant and has travelled extensively in Europe Asia and America. He has cruised with Cunard, Seabourn, P&O and Silversea and other well know brands.

A couple of years ago Shane left the industry to pursue other interests but was lured back by loyal former clients. Shane now works for us from his home in Newtown.

Outside the travel industry, Shane continues to also pursue his long time passion for horse breeding.
